Red Cross Palace
Address: Jardim 9 de Abril 1 - 1249 LISBON
The Red Cross Palace is an 18th century Palace, overlooking the Tagus River, with richly decorated rooms. It has been the seat of the Portuguese section of the Red Cross since 1924. Once the cloister of the ancient convent of Carmelitas de Santo Alberto, the site also includes a beautiful garden. The quirky neighbourhood of Janelas Verdes, where the Palace is set, provides a feeling of true Lisbon architecture and offers a beautiful view to the river Tagus, the iconic April 25th Bridge, and the Monument of Christ just across the river.

Lisbon’s Estufa Fria – the Greenhouse - is located right across the street from the Congress Headquarter Hotel (Intercontinental Lisbon) and in one of the most important parks in the city. As a living museum and an ex libris of Lisbon, it is one of the most visited sites in the city. Initially thought out as a place to simply shelter various types of plants, it has become one of the most pleasant green spaces in Lisbon, where you can spend a few enjoyable hours between lakes, waterfalls, brooks, statues and hundreds of different plant specimens from all over the world. The Estufa Fria gives a real sense of tranquility and wellbeing, bringing the forest into the city. Join us for a memorable evening!
The organisers will provide participants with bus transportation or a walking escort from the Official Event Hotels to/from the social events.
